“Fresh and Delicious”

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owners of a local B&B and it was terrific. The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious. Both my friend and I got the fish and chips with hake. The fish was soft and the batter crunchy. I would recommend this place to anyone!
“Great Restaurant for seafood, not a large place”

This was place was recommended both by Tripadviser and our tourguide. The fish and chips are excellent and my daughter and I ordered and enjoyed the prawn (shrimp) salad. The service was adequate and the place is small so go early. We lucked out with the last table.
“Too much Pub Food, now this… What a great find!”

The front desk folks at our B&B recommended this place for fresh seafood. After being disappointed by a couple places already in Killarney, we decided to find this one, and very glad we did. Being a bit of a seafood snob, from Seattle, our expectations were rather low.
We found all of our seafood dishes, Hake, Sea Bass, Calamari and Salmon, to be cooked perfectly, and not over-seasoned to hide bad fish. It was all delicious, and wish we would have found this on day one! Hats off to the team, as they were very helpful, and kept the tables turning quickly, and the food coming out very quick, and still very, very good!
My salmon was pan-fried, which I don’t usually prepare this way, but found to be cooked very well, lightly seasoned and NOT overlooked. Great job!

I visited this restaurant last Tuesday with my husband and daughter. it was truly excellent all round.
I ordered the pan-fried John Dory, which was fantastic, three beautiful small plump fillets arrived with chips and a large salad. The freshness of the fish and the cooking to perfection made this one of the best meals I have ever had, and at a price of €15.95, this was truly exceptional value for money.
My husband had prawns, again beautifully cooked and plenty of them, my daughter had the fish goujons which was cod on the day and they were delicious.
We had a very pleasant waiter by the naming of Jason looking after us and made us feel very welcome. Overall the service, atmosphere, food and value for money were outstanding and this a must stop if visiting the town of Killarney
“Best squids “calamary” ever in Ireland so far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 NEW via mobile
If you are looking for FRESH, catch of the day seafood, don’t look any further. The setting suggests fast-food quality fish& chips, but it is safe to say that you will not find this quality seafood for these prices anywhere else. The fried wild squids are second to none.

Four of us American tourists were looking for a place for lunch and picked Quilans. Thank goodness we made that choice! Best fish and chips I have ever had. If I could cook fish like I had, I would have it often. Do you share your recipe? All of us agreed it was one of the best meals we had on our two-week tour. Peggy and friends

We stayed in Killarney as part of our 4-day tour in Southwest Ireland, and the manager at our hostel recommended Quinlans when we asked her where to get good seafood. The whole menu is all about seafood, and the only thing my vegetarian friend could find was a salad and chips, which fortunately worked out for her as she didn’t want to eat much that night. I had a Dingle Bay seafood chowder and a pan-fried sea bass fillet which came with a salad. It was simply divine!!! The chowder was one of the best I had tasted during my trip to Ireland, and the sea bass was really succulent, fresh and well, just as fresh as seafood should be! Our neighbouring tables were having fish and chips, and the look of the fish was definitely something to yearn for! Good value for money, no doubt!

Quinlans Seafood Bar is quite famous in Killarney. We were told of this by Quinlans neighbour who sells candy. We were very lucky on entering the restraurant as we didn’t wait long for a table when we got a table others after us weren’t so lucky. This indicates how good this place is and how popular. I had a meal deal which was hake, chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas and a coffee. My wife had goujons, chips, tartare sauce and salad and a bottle of water to finish. Both of us agreed that it was well worth what we paid for it because it was really delicious and beautifully cooked and above all fresh. Quinlans have a reputation locally for using fresh fish which they catch using their own ships. We would definitely come back here the same way as we came this year…hungry.
“Fresh meal and fantastic service”

Lovely, clean, simple and fresh fare. It was the most relaxing meal we’ve had in Ireland so far. The service was impeccable and you feel like you’re a long lost friend when you enter. We had the broiled salmon, and the salad that went with it was unbelievably fresh. Prices are fair too.
