Kerry companies win Great Taste awards

TWO Kerry food companies – Quinlan’s fish and Kerry Group – have received awards in the prestigious Great Taste 2014 awards, the world’s largest blind-tasting event.

Run by the London-based Guild of Fine Food, the awards, dubbed ‘the Food Oscars‘ have become the largest and most highly trusted accreditation scheme for speciality food and drink producers.

Quinlan’s was awarded with prizes for its Smoked Salmon and Organic Salmon while Kerry Group received two stars for its Golden Cow Butter.

Both Quinlans and Kerry Group said they were “delighted” to be recognised by the awards. Judged by over 400 people, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and specialty food producers.

All products are judged by at least three different judging panels including fine food retailers, chefs, restaurant critics, food writers and other industry experts. All tasting is blind ensuring that the quality of taste, flavour and texture are the only criteria taken into account.- See more at: http://www.independent.ie/regionals/kerryman/news/kerry-companies-win-great-taste-awards-30522348.html#sthash.VLHqJuys.dpuf
